Charlotte, NC was incorporated in 1798 and is named after Queen Charlotte, wife of England's King George III. The Queen City was settled by Scotch - Irish in the 1740's and gained City status with America's first discovery of gold in 1799. Located between the mountains and the coast, Charlotte is the perfect place to visit, play and work.

Once known for its old Southern ways, today Charlotte is leading North Carolina into the 21st Century. From its historical roots as a manufacturing and agricultural center, the City is becoming a major international center in banking and distribution.
